I feel called to make beautiful and powerful figures. I want people to react emotionally to my sculptures, to make a connection similar to the connection that I feel as I make the figures. I use hand sewing and other textile techniques in my work. While my primary media is fabric, I use kiln cast glass and air drying paper clay for faces and masks.

My influences include contemporary fiber and doll artists, and ancient votive and goddess sculptures. My goal is not to reproduce ancient figures of power, but to continue the tradition.
