ARTIST STATEMENT
My work explores the intimate relationship between material, body, and emotion. Through weaving, wearables and sculpture, I investigate how fibers embody vulnerability, repair, and resilience.
Engaging with themes of identity, trauma, migration, imperfection, and the feminine body, I am deeply interested in how materials generate meaning. Through weaving and material experimentation, I explore how threads and seams become metaphors for scars, imperfection, and healing.
My practice is an act of care, where making reflects the resilience and complexity of human life, and where imperfection is embraced as beauty and difference as strength.
