ARTIST STATEMENT

I am a textile designer and quilter. All my work begins as a bolt of white cloth.  I use procion fiber reactive dyes and food grade resists such as sugar from potatoes and common baking flour.  I have been exploring shibori for the last 5 years and currently am back to my roots of dye painting.  I live half the year in Madison, Wisconsin and half the year in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico.
