Whether in a formal or informal situation I believe it is the smaller, personal moments that bring the viewer into the story. To that end, my work concentrates on the story behind the story, the pieces that make up the whole. My photographs look to the fragments that make up an event or a life. Even in a formal portrait I hope to bring out the personal in the moment.
