Little Ways
Ink, graphite, acrylic on paper
7.5 x 6 in.
Drawing is a way to explore the essential elements of content in my work. It records the little dramas of everyday life made more difficult by memory and a continuing struggle with mental illness.
My materials include paper, ball-point pens, pencils, ink ad acrylic paint. They are selected based upon what if readily available. Frequently, the imagery is frantically seet down while my daughter is napping then further developed at night when she is sleeping. The smaller format is portable and easily hidden away from the destructive instincts of a toddler. This size allows me to investigate the imagery with more frequency and privacy.
