ARTIST STATEMENT
My work includes drawing, painting, collage, assemblage and graphic novels. Through these different mediums, I investigate freedom, power, oppression, cultural expectations or metaphysical inquiries in a poetic and compelling way. Each piece articulates a sense of personal, environmental, social, or political disquiet especially with reference to womxn’s experience. The work often evokes irony, transcendence through the use of iconographic symbolism, dynamic design and color. When I create a piece, my intention is to captivate the viewer, inviting them into an experience of exploration.
