Alison William’s interpretation of marriage using digital photography, self-portraits and posed photography as well as poetry and scribbled thoughts on marriage and relationships that bind. The digital stills have been manipulated and altered by the artist and often the negative image has been used to bring out the ethereal aspect and the thought content of the work. The real and the imagined are explored as themes within the context of marriage. A marriage is as good as we perceive it to be and it is as good as we allow it to be.
