Karen Gubitz

I am inspired by nature, by the pure, simple and beautiful forms and textures that nature presents. In weaving, twining, coiling, netting, knitting, wrapping, twisting, or bending everyday objects, materials that are familiar and yet surprising, each work of art evolves into my own inner vision of the natural world. As I continue to test the limits of these everyday materials, I become more and more assured of my own vision, enough so as to allow for the unexpected. My work is an invitation to the viewer to reach out and touch and to join me in my joyful celebration of nature.
