Michal Hall

My artwork falls into two main categories. In the first category I use memory and imagination to account for places that made a significant impression on my body. This work draws significantly from natural forms, such as water and bone, and uses symbols and maps to create spaces where nature exists in limited or controlled ways.

I typically work in painting and collage format, using water color, gouache, charcoal and cut paper.
