ARTIST STATEMENT
Mimm Patterson is an artist, writer and trauma-informed yoga therapist who uses photography, found text, embroidery and encaustic collage to explore personal history and the stories we create about ourselves. For Mimm, truth is malleable. She believes our reality is unfixed – that it is determined by the perspective from which it is viewed. With that understanding we are able to reconcile our past with our perception of the present. She holds a BA in Studio Art and Education and a MFA in Transpersonal Psychology.
