“I like to create narratives through my photos, whether fictional and realistic. By staging and manipulating everyday objects, I am able to control what and how the viewer sees and to create my own version of reality. I find plenty of inspiration by observing my daily surroundings, whether it be people, objects or an environment as a whole.
This work is from my photographic series called “blue,” which narrates the story of an abandoned balloon and its lonely journey around a city. This series was created while I was grieving the loss of a few close friendships during my Junior year of college; it illustrates the feeling of loneliness and the loss of control in life.”
