Elise is an experimental multi-media artist living, working, and raising 3 children in Kansas City. She uses oil paint, watercolor, vellum, and fabric among other mediums to address the complex nuances of motherhood, memory, nostalgia, fear, regret, remembrance, and dependency through visual storytelling. She received her BFA from the University of Colorado at Boulder in 2006.
