In celebration of Chicago Artist Month, Woman Made Gallery and Salvage One teamed together to explore the process of artmaking and the space it occupies.
Fourteen local artists, ATYL, Constance DeMuth Berg, Ilse Bolle, Pamela Callahan, Diane Cooper, Ruth Eckstein, Deb Flagel, Sara Holwerda, Dorothy Hughes, Laurie Wessman LeBreton, Joyce Owens, Joyce Polance, Karen Rechtschaffen, and Rhonda Wheatley showed creations in a wide variety of style and content during this diverse exhibition in a most eclectic environment. Included are digital works, paintings, mixed media, paper and wood sculptures, fiber, ceramics and transformed furniture pieces.
The Arterial Space exhibition, curated by Woman Made Gallery and on exhibit at Salvage One, located at 1840 West Hubbard Street, was part of Chicago Artists Month 2010, the fifteenth annual celebration of Chicago’s vibrant visual art community coordinated by the Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs.
