ARTIST STATEMENT
I truly believe anyone can do Art, you just got to find your medium. Personally I enjoy melting metal and reforming it to my will. Whether it is welding or foundry you are controlling the magic and the science. When I learned what conceptual art was I embraced that every choice made in creating something had purpose and meaning. I like knowing why so I better know why I chose the materials, process and subject matter that I did. I was in fancy pants art school when 9/11 happened and needless to say I was inspired by how fellow humans reacted. My life perspective is of a cis/hetero woman and my uterus art highly reflects that. How humans treat each other truly fascinates me and being able to create a 3D visual of a thought, feeling, spirituality or political leaning helps me cope with how humans treat each other.
