Skirts, is a growing clique of fashionable constructs. The name is a direct reference to colloquial verbiage used to indicate a group of girls or women. Formed from a metal grid and displayed on rusted retail style poles, they individually represent a style of skirt that has been predominant in fashion history. Each style skirt holds a place of influence on the cultural cannon of beauty and has physical ramifications on the female body.

Fashion and cultural cannons are our constructions. They mold and define our bodies and our perceptions of others as well as of our selves. They have significantly shaped the way we view women; profoundly influenced women to alter their bodies in sync and have indelibly written on the pages of our life experience.
