Terry Adams was born in Chicago, Illinois and is currently a resident of the Chicago Land Suburbs. She was employed at Playboy as a Graphic Designer, and has worked as freelance photographer for over 30 years. Currently, she is a Professor at Joliet Junior College.

Terry Adams received her BA and MA from Governors State University. She has been featured in numerous publications, and her photographs have been featured nationally and internationally in gallery and museum exhibitions.
