Caroline Jacobson is a Chicago-based artist who has been empowering women through painting since dropping out of business school in 2014 to study art. She is currently studying painting and drawing at The School of the Art Institute of Chicago. In her artwork Caroline aims to undermine and challenge the erasure of the female experience and the routine objectification of the female body in popular culture and throughout the history of art. Using close female friends and herself as subjects, she aims to explore womanhood, female sexuality, and ultimately represent the female body as a sovereign source of power.
