“Restoration, Renovation was completed during 2019 and early 2020, a period when I lost both parents, and several people very close to me were diagnosed with serious illnesses. Also during this time, I was living in two places and helping various family members close lifelong homes and move; most downsizing, a few to larger places.
Restoration, Renovation includes the hills of northwest CT., my NYC landscape, architectural renderings, and words, numbers and bits of ephemera from this transitional period.
This work became a bridge from earlier abstract work, exploring materials and techniques, to a new series considering shelter and the way loss changes and affects home throughout our lifetime.”
