The stoneware forms I create are all wheel-thrown and altered by hand, twice-fired at Cone-10 and glazed in Japanese-inspired finishes. Each piece is unique and takes over a month to finish. The wheel brings me back to myself, and the vessels I create have literally carried me and aided me in my trauma-healing journey. The therapeutic process of “making” translates itself into a form marked by elegance, serenity, and contrast. These vessels are inspired by both Japanese and Midcentury Danish Modern designs.
