ARTIST STATEMENT
I am fascinated with space: actual, personal, psychological, and who we are moment to moment, as we navigate through our ever- changing interior and exterior environments. My paintings and drawings are spaces in which to reflect on this simultaneous simplicity and complexity of the flow of being.
ABOUT THE ARTIST
Sharon Swidler creates paintings and drawings which incorporate minimalism, colorfield and landscape. Her work has been exhibited nationally and is included in private collections throughout the U.S. Sharon received her BA and MFA in Drawing & Painting from Southern Illinois University in Carbondale and has taught Design, Drawing and Women & the Arts at the college level. Her work is represented by Space Gallery in Denver.
