The Child In Me was introduced at an early age to both love and betrayal; overt love from my mother and arbitrary refusals from my father. Poems and imagery from my inner child’s voice reflect both consolation and pain. I also empathize with those who have had worse experiences with priest fathers in the Catholic Church. Some of my images are about this sexual abuse (which I experienced as an adult). I take some consolation when finding root causes during the art making process.
