intaglio from solar plate

As a painter and print maker I have used many media over the 30 years of making my 2 dimensional forms. In more recent years my traditional intaglios and lithographs from copper plate and stone have been replaced by solar plate ( developed by using a few drops of tap water ) and traditional wood block plates or a combination thereof. I have also replaced my oil based inks with the more environmentally sustainable water based inks which can be cleaned up with soap and water rather than petroleum products. The pieces I am submitting for this show have all been produced using solar plate intagio, plexiglass, or shino wood block cut with Japanese moka hanga tools. These pieces are also among the smaller images of the main body of my work, submitted to be in keeping with this particular show’s dimensions requirement.
