“My art examines the historical and contemporary roles that are assigned to women. I bridge the past with the present, fabricating a visual language of images by combining personal experience with global issues that connect us. This image comes from a series of works reflecting the merging of the home represented by a chair here with women who have been historically positioned to work only within it.
In our current time of lock down, most are now experiencing the constant demands of the home like women have and do.”
