potbelly pin-ups: out of many one

As an artist, I find the idea of what popular culture defines as feminine beauty to be skewed and distorted. My drawings identify with beauty psychology, both physiologically and politically. These figures are tangled, hogtied, and wearing props associated with femininity and sexuality…[They] have a sex appeal but decidedly are mutations… potbelly pinups alludes to the trappings and distortion of beauty found in prepubescent pageant toddlers, strippers, Hollywood-icons, West-Indian Dancehall performers, extreme plastic surgery, and even myself.
