Going Home explores the individual and collective journey to spiritual healing through the lenses of the African diaspora. Birthed from the work being done in the Soul Healing CommUNITY on the Southside of Chicago, Going Home is a collection of found clips from the internet, video portraits of individuals in the commUNITY, and their affirmations to live a whole, healed, intentional lives. The short film portrays our abilities to birth new realities by connecting to our deepest selves – our souls, our first mothers, our first homes.
