ARTIST STATEMENT
I create surrealist paintings–portraiture, still life, and landscapes that amplify imagination and intuition as tools for healing, creation, connection, and discovery. My paintings depict Black women–and/or references to Black femininity– and utilize additional symbolism–spiritual, cultural, and personal–and tonal palettes that encourage introspection, meditation, and dreaming.
