ARTIST STATEMENT
My work, Fish explore themes of vulnerability, reality, and the beauty of ephemeral experiences. My work combines visual and aural elements to create immersive installations, emphasizing light, color, and sound to evoke a contemplative atmosphere. Although I’m a digital artist my work is rooted by my background in watercolor and ink. The loose nature of these mediums embody the flowing nature of emotions, which I seek to reveal in my work.
ABOUT THE ARTIST
I’m a digital artist that recently graduated from Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana, earning a BFA in Digital Art. While I currently reside in Bloomington, I plan to relocate to Chicago soon and apply to grad school. During my time at Indiana University, I was honored as a Lois Eskenazi Scholar and received the Pozzatti Prize Scholarship and the Fine Arts Award. One of my pieces is part of the Sidney and Lois Eskenazi Museum of Art’s IU campus collection. As a first-generation American and college graduate, my work delves into emotions, exploring the power of vulnerability that connects us all.
