My current works revolve around expressions of social and cultural integration. Popular iconography, social trends, customs, peer pressure and varied modes of human expression are among the themes of my images. I’m interested in capturing the juxtapositions between tradition and modernity and the visual manifestation of these transitions. The ways in which we as individuals interpret the vast amount of information with which we are inundated – by means of telecommunication, the media and mass production – points to how groups and societies, on a larger scale, translate this information and interact with others.
