When I tell people that I paint, they often ask “What kind of work do you do?” It always stops me. My work is so personal that I don’t want to explain it. I try not to get caught up in what people might expect, but rather paint from my own viewpoint, my own experience, my own inner vision, my own take on popular culture and my own enjoyment.
