This painting honors all the domestic tasks women perform for their families with love and care. Women perform many tasks all at once. Their managing skills are phenomenal – feeding the family, cleaning house, paying bills, gardening, organizing family events and activities, working inside and outside the home, and in short – doing whatever it takes to get the job done. I have used the Indian deity Shiva who has many hands and dances the dance of life to depict these women. I see Shiva in all the mothers and I honor them.
