A young child in a crown gazes intensely at the viewer. Metallic stars surround him. The environment is celebratory, yet his posture is still and gaze is pensive. The invisible threat of the coronavirus, evident in the deconstructed surgical masks on the lower part of the panel, dampers any normal festive plans. In the lower right corner, amidst the surgical sky and clouds, a nurse in full personal protective equipment holds a deflating star balloon. Although their relationship is unclear, they are nonetheless navigating the pandemic together.
