My work reflects to visual over abundance of our modern culture and its materialism. Objects and images from our shiny, throwaway, memory-lost, bric-a-brac laden world are the inspiration for my assemblages. These products are altered and constructed into colorful conceits meant to mirror our societal and personal obsession with “things.” Lacking the muted palettes and sophisticated minimalism of most academically- trained assemblage artists, I have most often been perceived to be an “outsider artist.”
