Most of my work depicts my friends [or their stuffed animals] in ordinary, relaxed situations: sitting in cafes, on the phone, eating lunch, grocery shopping, etc. I use photography and sketches as source material for more finalized painted drawings. The images I make show the individuality of the subjects by capturing their gesture and mood; what a subject is thinking becomes as important as their physical characteristics.
