Lauren Peterson

I have always loved to create art but it wasn’t until I attended art school that I fell in love with the figure. It was there that I was able to immerse myself in painting and drawing daily from a live model. Most of my work is figurative, in part or whole. While I love the technical aspects of mixing color, applying just the right pressure on the brushstroke, and getting the anatomy correct, the ultimate goal is to tell a story, convey a moment captured in time.
