ARTIST STATEMENT
The US government is not preventing abortion only safe abortion. They are targeting women that have been treated like objects since the dawn of time. Women are shiny, and pretty like trophies but also women are only of use to them if they can be controlled. Impasto creates a captivating effect on the importance found in the paintings. The use of metallic paint also achieves this.
ABOUT THE ARTIST
I am an artist outside of Rochester NY. I am also a mother and an Emergency Medical Dispatcher. I complete my BFA at Nazareth College Spring 2023. My academic career started on the path of politics, now I use that knowledge in my painting in hopes of creating social change.
