Craving Connection (March 2020)
ink on paper
8.5 x 5.5 in.
Our world has changed rapidly. Recently, there has been a hyper-focus on hands and what we are touching, or not allowed to touch. What we are craving, and what we are reaching for. What we touch with our hands has become infinitely more important today, and while most know we can’t be in contact, it’s also what we want the most right now. I chose to explore what we are reaching for, and what we have in our grasp through a simple medium in these pieces. While my normal focus of pieces is on faces, the current global situation piqued my interest in creating more with hands.
