I am hearing impaired & do not listen to radio & have not watched television or films for over 20 years. Because friends in NYC were directly affected by war, I looked at war images on internet – something I normally would not do. I was deeply affected not having any ‘filters’ built up from tv/film viewing. Because war images stayed with me, I decided to change them into something mine, could war images be turned into something beautiful? Dangerous thought. These pieces were the result.
