Pop art exists to document a moment when art making coincided with various aspects of everyday existence, those objects, actions, and personalities that confront humanity outside of the museum and the gallery. Pop artists reacquainted the viewer with the familiar in new light, new color, size, and reiteration. In my work it is this quality of pop art that I have chosen to adapt. My work pays homage to everyday activities and moments that often go unnoticed and remain unappreciated. Presented in new forms, the mundane repetitions of everyday life are seen in comic and colorful relief.
