Many of my skills as a nurse practitioner apply to my photographic work: compassion, developing rapport, and careful observation. The key in photography is to remember the goal. The camera records what is in the viewfinder, but the image should express the artist’s vision and feeling, leading the viewer to interpretation and discovery.
