The Hedgehog painting is about finding comfort and peace in being alone. Restricted from touching others can be challenging for some but also relaxing and liberating for others. It can open a new relationship with one’s body and help to find new ways of comforting it. Hedgehog relaxes in the field of flowers, away from people, protected by its spikes. The Tiger painting is about a desperate situation, feeling so stuck that all your stress and anger turns back on you. Sometimes physical pain becomes a way to forget about emotional pain. Tiger turns her fearsome claws back at herself, the painful touch is the only way left to express her frustration.
