Cartoon characters are icons of the popular. Through the combination of different cultures, a complex character is created that remains familiar but no longer retains their origins. Object Study tests the boundaries of this pop cultural language. When do ears stop being recognizable? When do popular characters become peculiar?

I use wax because it’s a material familiar from domestic surroundings.
