The child in this artist explores an urban intersection with her new video camera and skateboard. She inhabits both familiar space and an imaginary parallel universe, plays with words and the boundaries of visual reality. As she pretends, she transforms the mundane and creates drama playing the main character.

Observations of everyday life inspire my work. The focus on people in public places is based on my background in sociology. Video allows me to experiment with time-based narrative while I, as a grown up, explore the intersection of sound and image.
