The “Women of the World” series is an ongoing group of paintings and drawings of women who interest me. Some are “portraits” of actual women such as Josephine Baker, others are imaginary or mythological women such as the Bamboo Princess of Japan. Of special note is that these women are from many cultures and may be from different time periods. I am currently involved with other series, but I return to this group as I continue to find inspiration from sisters from many lands and times.
