Peripheral Vision #1
print on paper
8 x 10 in.

The enclosed photoworks were developed during a residency this past year at the MacDowell Colony in NH. They are a result of my ongoing exploration of our experience of ‘place’ in relation to architectural/constructed space.

Entitled ‘peripheral vision’ the series reflects the limits of our physical vision- a digital camera is forced to focus on what it technically cannot: the slightest space between two walls, reflected light on an interior space. The works serve as metaphors for the depths contained within space, beyond our sight and knowing: the traces of memory, experience, desire held there.
