These women, when first encountered as images, strike us as abnormal. Yet their comfort of pose insists that what they are is normal. They force us to accept their normality and redefine our abnormality. These women question values placed on hard youthful bodies as the epitome of the female experience and they reclaim their identity as powerful, self assured, self modeled, and valuable.
