ARTIST STATEMENT
My practice stems from the desire to achieve omniscience for all. The work I create results from the desire to understand The nuances of humanity, and to share insight into my own personal understanding. Being a female presenting person is something that effects every aspect of my life, both positively and negatively. Creating work which is hyper-feminine, and that plays on female stereotypes is a way for my to reclaim the stereotypes that I am subjected to, as well as give them power. Through the reclamation of female stereotypes I hope to inspire a deeper contemplation about what they mean.
