This series continues my investigation of the self. A multi-media process is used, where I record myself, observe the media, then lay the found stills on canvas. This adds to the voyeuristic quality of the investigation, allowing me to confront my struggle with my body perception.

These paintings question the ideals and expectations of being a woman. The hosiery brings up the issue of constrictive devices designed to “enhance” and “reshape”. Often seen as alluring, these articles are actually unnerving. Odd compositions and settings are used to further my inherent distress with the contraptions.
