It was during the quarantine, a time when all were being asked to stay at home, that ‘books’ provided many of us with a means of escape. This belief in the ‘power of the story’ to ignite the imagination and to plant the seed of new possibilities is the inception of this piece. The figure within this piece looks up in surprise and guilt for the wall of her homes have been eliminated and a strange nature has transformed her world. Therefore, ‘Home’ is no longer a small, enclosed area but rather a world where one’s imagination is released to fly.
