ARTIST STATEMENT
My mixed media collage is inspired by architecture, geometry and minimalism. The use of a textured window-like grid serves to unite the images, while the lack of a focal point invites the viewers eye to wonder and explore, encouraging a deeper engagement with the art. Upon closer inspection, intricate details reveal themselves, creating a visually immersive experience for the viewer.
ABOUT THE ARTIST
I am a self taught mixed media artist living in the Chicago area. I have a Masters Degree in Social Work and was a school social worker. I began pursuing my passion for art making after raising my 3 sons. I have exhibited locally and around the country. One of my larger pieces was acquired last year by Delta Airlines, for their newly renovated Sky Club at the Chicago O’Hare International Airport. Most recently my art was featured at the Infant Welfare Society of Chicago, 2023 Lake Forest Showhouse .
