Clearing away last year’s tomato plants from the family garden, I came across the dried skins of of the fruits from the year before. I was struck by their similarity to the paper
I was making in the studio, and used that inspiration to create elements of this work. These pieces, which integrate embroidery and old cloth, are considerations of the passage of time and the cycle of seasons.
